Anne & Alexis

I had the pleasure of working with Anne & Alexis to create a gluten-free dessert table for their wedding at Brooklyn Winery this past Spring. The table was filled with chocolate chunk cookies, blackberry filled macaroons and caramel marshmallows with a pecan praline. A simple, yet chic chevron inspired cake stood amongst the delectable table.

In honor of the Belvedere museum's 150 Years of Gustav Klimt exhibit, Brides Magazine featured a special spread showcasing a mood board that recalls the opulence of Klimt's era. Lael Cakes was honored to have a gilded cake featured in the spread!

Sugar or Real?

Lael Cakes recently had a sugar flower bouquet featured in Brides June 2012. On a spread filled with other gorgeous flower bouquets from NYC florists I could barley tell the difference between our sugar delights and the real deal! Sugar flower bouquets are not only a a great way to thrill your wedding party with something unique but they can also be saved as beautiful keepsakes.

Martha Stewart Weddings Spring 2012 Issue!

Creamsicle popsicles still take me back to grade school when the ice cream truck would come through the neighborhood at 4 p.m. every day during the summer. The inspiration for the the cake was a taste of nostalgia, so I thought nothing would be more perfect.

A Vermont Wedding

My dear friends, Allison & Danny tied the knot in Vermont this past weekend at The Mountain Top Inn and Resort. The wedding was gorgeous with a backdrop of snow covered mountains.  Lael Cakes had the great pleasure of creating a rustic and elegant dessert table consisting of an assortment of cakes and butterscotch blondies. All gluten free, of course! The cake table was accented with beautiful bark details, including tree stump cake stands made by the bride's father.
